The Sunshine Vitamin "could stop colds or flu"
Public Health England (PHE) already advises everyone to take Vitamin D supplements, especially in the Autumn and Winter, to maintain healthy bones and muscles. Vitamin D, however, has proven itself to play yet another crucial role for the body: our immune system.
According to BBC News, Vitamin D supplements could spare more than three million people from the colds or the flu in the UK each year. A study indicated that "one person would be spared infection for every 33 taking Vitamin D supplements."
