A Superhero Without Special Powers, Master Po or You?
In the previous articles, we have been talking about the strength of super heroes and how you can learn from them. The heroes who already had some super power which made them different from normal human beings. Yes, it can get difficult to relate to those who are more privileged than us. So, today we bring to you the story of such a hero who has no super powers, he is a normal person just like you and me. Yet, he did have some powers that made him different from other. Those powers that helped him to overcome his weaknesses and become as strong as he is today. Those powers that can help you fight the against arthritis and win in the battle called life. Today we talk about our very own Kung-Fu panda, Master Po!
His Special Powers:
For a small chubby panda who can barely walk properly, he probably had a lot of determination to actually master the art of Kung-Fu so much that he managed to defeat Lord Shen. His determination to fight and protect his friends and family is what made a successful dragon warrior! The pain caused due to arthritis is truly nerve-racking. Most of the time moving becomes difficult let alone doing anything else. Every arthritis patient faces two options. Accept defeat and let life go past in a blur, or fight the pain and the disease and emerge a victor. If you want to be a victor, you need to be determined!
There is no life without motivation. To achieve anything in life, you need to be motivated. Similar to our little Kung-Fu master, Po. Until he believed in himself and had the motivation to fight, he would never succeed. Fighting with the strongest Lord in the world certainly needed a lot of motivation. Similar to Po, you too need a motivation in life. It is very easy to succumb to the pain and very hard to fight it. In the movie, Po’s motivation to fight was initially to protect his friends and later to avenge his family. What is yours?
A person is not declared defeated till he is still standing. Po kept falling, kept loosing. But what kept him going was his fighting spirit. Even though he fell, he always got up. He kept striving hard to get his goal. And finally he got it. After all, the human spirit is stronger than anything that can happen to it. If you choose to accept defeat easily, you will always have regret in life. After all, it is always better to have fought and lost than to not try at all. When it comes to arthritis, it is very important to have a fighting spirit and a will power so strong that even the blinding pain and the feeling of inferiority cannot defeat you.
Po was a normal guy, who came from a small village. What made him extra ordinary was his positivity and unfaltering hope. He had been in the worse possible scenarios yet he didn’t lose his faith and hope. He won not only the battle but also in his life because he had something to do, someone to love and something to hope for. Just because something isn’t happening for you right now, doesn’t mean you give up hope. After all miracles happen every day. With the blinding pain, waking up every morning surely is a task. But if you have hope that today will be a better day, then automatically the morning becomes brighter! You only lose the fight to arthritis is when you stop fighting. After all, the biggest secret to a successful life is that whatever may be your goal, you can achieve it if your truly work for it. “Every day is a fight; every morning is a battle to get ready for work. Every afternoon is a fight to stay awake, every night is a fight to find sleep. And between all the fights, is another fight. Fighting pain, every morning, every afternoon, every night and every day! The pain hasn’t stopped, but it hasn’t stopped me. I am a Warrior!” – Carrie Ann Inaba
